Copyright

Jurnal Computech & Bisnis (JCB), published by STMIK Mardira Indonesia, is committed to transparent and responsible copyright practices that respect authors’ rights and support the dissemination of scholarly knowledge.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors who publish in Jurnal Computech & Bisnis (JCB) retain the copyright of their published articles, unless otherwise specified in a separate written agreement.

By submitting and publishing an article in JCB, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and authorize JCB to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and make the article available through its official publishing platform and other authorized dissemination channels.

This publication arrangement does not transfer copyright ownership from the authors to the journal. Authors retain their copyright while granting the journal the rights necessary to publish and disseminate the work.

2. Publication Rights

Authors grant JCB the non-exclusive right to publish and disseminate the accepted article in electronic or other applicable formats, including through the journal’s website, indexing services, repositories, and other scholarly communication channels, subject to the terms agreed upon with the journal.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the authority to grant these rights and that the submitted work does not infringe the copyright, intellectual property rights, or other legal rights of third parties.

Any additional publication rights granted to JCB must be consistent with the applicable author agreement and the journal’s stated licensing terms.

3. Open Access and Reuse

JCB supports the dissemination of scholarly research through its open-access publishing arrangements. Readers may access published articles through the journal’s website in accordance with the license displayed for each article.

The permissions governing the reuse, redistribution, adaptation, translation, or commercial use of an article are determined by the applicable license stated on the article’s webpage and published file.

Where a Creative Commons license is applied, users must comply with the terms of that specific license. The journal will clearly identify the applicable license and provide the relevant license information on the article’s webpage and, where practicable, in the published article file.

Open access does not, by itself, mean that an article may be reused without conditions. Users must observe the applicable license, attribution requirements, and any relevant third-party rights.

4. Author Responsibilities for Third-Party Materials

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission where required to reproduce or adapt copyrighted material owned by third parties, including figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, datasets, software, source code, and other protected materials.

Authors must provide appropriate attribution and comply with the relevant license or permission conditions.

Where third-party materials are excluded from the license applied to the article, the article should identify those exclusions clearly where applicable.

5. Author Sharing and Self-Archiving

Authors may share or deposit their published articles in personal websites, institutional repositories, or other appropriate scholarly platforms, provided that such sharing complies with the license applicable to the article and any relevant publication agreement.

When sharing the published version, authors should provide proper attribution to the original publication in JCB, including the article title, journal name, publication year, volume and issue where applicable, and DOI or persistent link when available.

Any sharing of pre-publication versions, such as submitted manuscripts or accepted manuscripts, must comply with the applicable agreement and journal policy.

6. Copyright Infringement and Disputes

JCB takes copyright infringement and unauthorized use of protected materials seriously.

If a potential copyright violation is reported, the journal may request relevant information from the reporting party and the authors, assess the available evidence, and take appropriate action.

Depending on the circumstances, the journal may request correction of attribution, require replacement or removal of unauthorized material, temporarily restrict access to affected content, or take further action under its publication ethics and correction policies.

The journal will seek to handle copyright concerns fairly and in accordance with applicable law, licensing terms, and institutional procedures.

7. Copyright and Published Article Metadata

The journal will make reasonable efforts to ensure that copyright statements and licensing information are presented accurately and consistently on article webpages and published files.

Where applicable, the article’s copyright notice should identify the copyright holder, publication year, and relevant license. The displayed information should be consistent with the applicable author agreement and the journal’s published copyright and licensing policies.

8. Commitment to Copyright Transparency

Jurnal Computech & Bisnis (JCB), published by STMIK Mardira Indonesia, is committed to protecting authors’ rights, respecting third-party intellectual property, and making copyright and reuse conditions clear to authors, readers, and other users.

By submitting a manuscript to JCB, authors are expected to confirm that they have the authority to submit the work for publication and to grant the publication rights required under the journal’s applicable agreement.
