Access

Jurnal Computech & Bisnis (JCB), published by STMIK Mardira Indonesia, provides open access to its published scholarly content to support the dissemination of research findings and the advancement of knowledge in computer science, informatics, and related fields.

JCB adopts an open-access publishing approach under which readers can access, read, and download published articles through the journal’s official website without subscription fees or mandatory payment for access.

The journal believes that unrestricted access to scholarly publications supports academic communication, encourages knowledge sharing, and increases the visibility and potential impact of research.

1. Open Access to Published Articles

All articles published by JCB are made available online through the journal’s official Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Readers may access the full text of published articles without requiring a subscription or paying an article-access fee. Access is provided for researchers, students, lecturers, practitioners, institutions, and members of the public interested in the journal’s subject areas.

JCB aims to maintain access to its published content through its official platform and to provide accurate bibliographic information that supports the discovery and citation of its articles.

2. Reader Rights and Reuse of Content

Readers may read and download published articles without charge. The copying, redistribution, translation, adaptation, or other reuse of an article is governed by the license identified on the article’s webpage and in the published file, where applicable.

Where an article is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, users may share and adapt the article, including for commercial purposes, provided that they comply with the license terms and provide appropriate attribution.

Users must respect the rights of third parties whose materials may be included in an article under separate copyright or licensing arrangements.

Open access to an article does not remove the obligation to cite the original work or comply with the applicable license.

3. Access to Article Metadata

JCB provides bibliographic information for published articles through its official journal website. Metadata may include the article title, author names, institutional affiliations, abstract, keywords, publication date, volume and issue, references, and DOI or other persistent identifiers where available.

The journal aims to maintain accurate and consistent metadata to support article discovery, citation, indexing, and scholarly communication.

Where applicable, article metadata may also be distributed to indexing services, discovery platforms, and other scholarly systems in accordance with the journal’s technical capabilities and relevant arrangements.

4. Access to Supplementary Materials

Supplementary materials associated with published articles may be made available through the journal’s website when provided by the authors and approved for publication.

Such materials may include datasets, source code, software documentation, experimental configurations, additional figures, or other supporting information relevant to the research.

Access to supplementary materials may be subject to applicable ethical, legal, privacy, security, copyright, and licensing requirements. Materials that contain confidential information, sensitive data, or content that cannot lawfully be distributed may be restricted or withheld, with an explanation where appropriate.

The availability of supplementary materials depends on the materials provided, the journal’s publication arrangements, and any applicable restrictions.

5. Access to Editorial and Peer-Review Records

JCB maintains editorial and peer-review records for the purposes of manuscript evaluation, editorial accountability, and publication management.

These records, which may include submitted manuscripts, reviewer reports, editorial correspondence, and internal editorial decisions, are not generally available to the public because they may contain confidential or unpublished information.

Access to such records is limited to authorized individuals in accordance with the journal’s Review Process Policy, Electronic Filing Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and applicable institutional requirements.

Any disclosure of editorial or peer-review records must be consistent with the journal’s policies and the rights and legitimate expectations of the individuals involved.

6. Long-Term Availability and Preservation

JCB recognizes the importance of maintaining the accessibility and integrity of its published scholarly content over time.

The journal seeks to keep published articles available through its official website and to manage publication files and metadata in accordance with its electronic record-management procedures.

Where preservation, backup, repository, or archiving arrangements are implemented, the journal will describe those arrangements accurately through its official website or relevant policy pages.

The journal will not claim participation in a particular digital preservation service or guarantee permanent availability unless the relevant arrangement has been established and can be verified.

7. Access Fees and Publication Charges

Readers are not required to pay subscription fees or article-access charges to read or download content published by JCB.

Any author-facing publication fee, article processing charge, or other publication-related charge, if applicable, will be described separately and transparently on the journal’s official website.

Open access to published articles and the existence or absence of author-facing publication charges are separate matters. The journal will communicate its actual fee policy clearly to authors before submission and publication.

8. Responsible Use of Published Content

Users are encouraged to read, cite, and share JCB articles responsibly and in accordance with the applicable license and copyright requirements.

When citing or redistributing an article, users should provide appropriate bibliographic information and a DOI or persistent link where available.

JCB does not permit the misrepresentation of published research, the removal of required attribution, or the use of published content in ways that violate applicable copyright, licensing, or legal requirements.

9. Commitment to Open Scholarly Communication

Jurnal Computech & Bisnis (JCB), published by STMIK Mardira Indonesia, is committed to supporting open access to scholarly research and promoting the responsible dissemination of knowledge.

Through its access policy, the journal aims to reduce barriers to reading and discovering research, support academic collaboration, and contribute to the development of computer science, informatics, and related scholarly communities.
