Owenership and Management Information
1. Journal Ownership
Jurnal Computech & Bisnis (JCB) is owned by and operates under the auspices of STMIK Mardira Indonesia, which provides the institutional framework for the journal’s academic and publishing activities.
The journal serves as a scholarly publication platform for disseminating research and academic contributions in computer science, informatics, and related fields within its stated Focus and Scope.
The ownership of JCB is institutionally distinct from the editorial responsibilities of the journal. Institutional ownership provides the organizational foundation for the journal’s operation, while editorial decisions are made in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies, peer-review procedures, publication ethics, and scholarly standards.
2. Publisher
JCB is published by STMIK Mardira Indonesia.
The publisher is responsible for providing the institutional and administrative support necessary for the journal’s operation, subject to the institution’s applicable policies and arrangements. Such support may include publication infrastructure, journal administration, website and platform management, and other operational resources required for the dissemination and preservation of scholarly content.
The publisher is expected to support the journal’s sustainability and adherence to responsible publishing practices without improperly influencing the scholarly evaluation of individual manuscripts.
3. Journal Management
JCB is managed through an editorial and journal-management structure responsible for coordinating manuscript submission, editorial screening, peer review, publication preparation, metadata management, and communication with authors, reviewers, and readers.
The journal’s management structure may include the following roles, as applicable to the officially appointed editorial team:
- Editor-in-Chief: Provides academic leadership, oversees editorial standards, and is responsible for final editorial decisions.
- Managing Editor or Editorial Secretary: Coordinates editorial administration, monitors manuscript processing, and supports communication among authors, reviewers, and editors.
- Section Editors or Associate Editors: Manage manuscripts within assigned subject areas and coordinate the review process where applicable.
- Editorial Board: Provides scholarly guidance, supports the journal’s academic direction, and contributes to maintaining publication quality.
- Reviewers: Provide independent scholarly assessments of manuscripts within their areas of expertise.
- Journal Administration or Technical Support: Supports the operational aspects of the journal platform, publication preparation, and related administrative processes.
The actual roles and responsibilities of JCB’s management team are determined by the journal’s officially established organizational structure. The names, affiliations, and positions of the relevant personnel should be displayed accurately on the journal’s official website.
4. Editorial Independence
JCB is committed to maintaining editorial independence in the evaluation and publication of scholarly work.
Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s Focus and Scope, originality, scientific contribution, methodological quality, research integrity, peer-review assessments, and compliance with publication ethics.
Neither institutional ownership nor administrative management should improperly determine the acceptance, rejection, or scientific evaluation of an individual manuscript.
Editors are expected to exercise their responsibilities objectively and consistently. Where an editor has a conflict of interest, the manuscript should be reassigned to an appropriate independent editor in accordance with the journal’s Conflict of Interest Policy.
The publisher and journal management should respect the editorial decision-making process and avoid interference motivated by personal, institutional, commercial, or other interests unrelated to scholarly merit.
5. Responsibilities of the Publisher and Journal Management
The publisher and journal management are responsible for supporting the journal’s effective and sustainable operation within their respective areas of authority.
Their responsibilities may include:
- Providing appropriate administrative and technical support for journal operations.
- Supporting the implementation of the journal’s editorial and publication policies.
- Maintaining accurate and transparent information about journal ownership, management, editorial personnel, and publication practices.
- Supporting regular publication in accordance with the journal’s declared publication schedule.
- Ensuring that publication-related information, article metadata, and journal records are managed appropriately.
- Supporting the implementation of publication ethics, research-integrity procedures, and conflict-of-interest management.
- Reviewing journal-management practices periodically to identify opportunities for improvement and long-term sustainability.
These responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with the actual authority, resources, and procedures established by STMIK Mardira Indonesia and the journal.
6. Editorial Board and Academic Governance
The editorial board supports the academic direction and scholarly quality of JCB. Editorial board members should have relevant academic or professional expertise in the fields covered by the journal and should contribute meaningfully to its development.
The journal aims to maintain an editorial board with appropriate subject coverage and a range of relevant scholarly expertise. Editorial appointments should reflect genuine academic responsibilities rather than honorary or nominal affiliations alone.
The names, institutional affiliations, academic qualifications where relevant, and editorial roles of board members should be presented accurately and kept up to date on the journal’s website.
The editorial board may contribute to discussions concerning journal scope, editorial standards, reviewer development, publication ethics, and strategies for improving the quality and reach of the journal.
7. Transparency and Accountability
JCB is committed to providing accurate and accessible information about its ownership, publisher, editorial leadership, and management structure.
The journal’s website should clearly identify:
- The institution that owns or oversees the journal.
- The publisher.
- The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team.
- The editorial board and their institutional affiliations.
- Official contact information for editorial and administrative inquiries.
- Relevant editorial, peer-review, and publication-ethics policies.
Any significant changes to the journal’s ownership, publisher, editorial leadership, or management structure should be reflected in the journal’s public information in a timely manner.
The journal will seek to ensure that the information presented to authors, reviewers, readers, indexing services, and accreditation bodies is accurate, consistent, and verifiable.
8. Commitment to Responsible Scholarly Publishing
Jurnal Computech & Bisnis (JCB), under the auspices of STMIK Mardira Indonesia, is committed to responsible journal management, editorial independence, transparency, and the continuous improvement of scholarly publishing practices.
